HTI Technology offers an integrated Rotary Actuator assembly, consisting of a motor, custom housing, and cabling system. This style of actuator is used extensively within the exercise and fitness industry, specifically in treadmills, elliptical equipment, and recumbent bicycles. Currently offered in three different configurations, the rotary actuator provides resistance in the equipment to help the user create a more difficult and strenuous workout. HTI rotary actuators have a built-in potentiometer that works in conjunction with the equipment computer to accurately control the resistance settings in any given exercise program. The rotary actuator may also be used in a variety of other applications where tensioning requirements or linear actuation may exist.
